Terms & Conditions

1. Information on this website

The information on this site is general. It is not advice about your particular property, finances or tax position.

• Savings, yield, payback and bill reduction figures are examples or typical results. What you get depends on your roof, location, power use, equipment and electricity prices.
• Information about bank green loans is general. Weka Solar is not a lender or financial adviser. Rates, terms and eligibility are set by each bank and can change, so check with your bank.
• Product details, brands and availability can change. We try to keep the site accurate, but it may contain errors or be out of date.

2. Solar Roof Check

The Solar Roof Check gives an estimate based on satellite imagery and roof data from Google.

• It is a guide only, not a quote, design or engineering assessment. The imagery may be several years old and may not show shading, recent building work or roof condition.
• It covers properties in the Wellington region, and results are not available for every property.
• We may limit, change or pause the Solar Roof Check at any time, including when its daily limit is reached.
• You must not use automated tools to run checks, copy or collect the results in bulk.

The Solar Roof Check uses Google Maps Platform. By using it you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Quotes and work

• Quotes are free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
• A quote is based on the information available at the time, including a site visit where one is needed. It sets out the system, the price and how long the price is valid for.
• Work only goes ahead once you accept a written quote. The quote and the terms that come with it apply to that work, and take priority over anything on this website.

4. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under New Zealand law that cannot be excluded, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

5. Our liability

Subject to section 4, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or the Solar Roof Check, or from relying on the general information on it.

6. Using this website

You must not use the site for anything unlawful, try to interfere with how it works, get around its bot protection, or use it to send spam.

7. Intellectual property

The content on this site, including text, photos and logos, belongs to Weka Solar or the people who licensed it to us. Please do not copy it without our permission. Roof imagery and data in the Solar Roof Check belong to Google and its data providers. Partner and bank names and logos belong to their owners.

8. Links to other websites

We link to other websites, such as banks and industry bodies, for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

9. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. If you have a question about them, email office@wekasolar.co.nz or call 021 0914 5069.
